Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at 8:26PM the knocks & their perfectly crafted dose of summer addiction "Make It Better" has been playing on repeat around these parts for a good while now. As if I could take anymore lushness Monsieur Adi has come along and driven up the vibe to a whole new plain. Throwing in some really open synths and a great breakdown complete with winding guitar solo turns "Make It Better" into a epic track while still holding on to the blissful character of the original . thanks to TMS for droppin the knowledge!

Over the last few years Aeroplane has been making craters in everyones mind with their numbingly good brand of remixes. This september the duo are releasing a collection of their own creations to us all and i am proper stoked. Tracks like "London Bridge" and "Fish In The Sky" bring sounds and rhythms from generations past and piece them together in a way only the two lads from Belgium can. "We Can't Fly" isn't just a collection of tracks; it plays like a real album, winding up and down throughout while showcasing all of Aeroplane's talent. I'd say it sounds a lot like a great soundtrack to some lost 80's summer blockbuster. The album is to be released Sept. 6th so start saving.

Part of the daily routine around here is a quick check over at one of my favorite blogs Too Many Sebastians. Today i found myself confronted with a song that in just a few quick hours has turned me into a love struck sap in the best of manners. Walter Sobcek are duo, part French and German, that make some of that great lush 80's pop I can't get enough of lately. Recently they made a cover of "She's Gone" by good ol' Hall & Oates and it's a triumph. It's reminds me of the spirit of Matt Van Schie's "Journey" (another heavy favorite here) and I can't get enough of it. keep it coming.
