the knocks & their perfectly crafted dose of summer addiction "Make It Better" has been playing on repeat around these parts for a good while now. As if I could take anymore lushness Monsieur Adi has come along and driven up the vibe to a whole new plain. Throwing in some really open synths and a great breakdown complete with winding guitar solo turns "Make It Better" into a epic track while still holding on to the blissful character of the original . thanks to TMS for droppin the knowledge!

Over the last few years Aeroplane has been making craters in everyones mind with their numbingly good brand of remixes. This september the duo are releasing a collection of their own creations to us all and i am proper stoked. Tracks like "London Bridge" and "Fish In The Sky" bring sounds and rhythms from generations past and piece them together in a way only the two lads from Belgium can. "We Can't Fly" isn't just a collection of tracks; it plays like a real album, winding up and down throughout while showcasing all of Aeroplane's talent. I'd say it sounds a lot like a great soundtrack to some lost 80's summer blockbuster. The album is to be released Sept. 6th so start saving.

Today i found myself confronted with a song that in just a few quick hours has turned me into a love struck sap in the best of manners. Walter Sobcek are duo, part French and German, that make some of that great lush 80's pop I can't get enough of lately. Recently they made a cover of "She's Gone" by good ol' Hall & Oates and it's a triumph. It's reminds me of the spirit of Matt Van Schie's "Journey" (another heavy favorite here) and I can't get enough of it. keep it coming.

Besides the amazing Tiga remix of Jamie Lidell's "I Wanna Be Your Telephone" and other magical sounds found on Aeroplane's June Mix there is one track that just lit me up. The artist goes by Humorous Norwegian Disco Alias, I have no idea who's behind the alias or what it's all about but the instrumental Maxi version of his/her track "I Work Out (Scream & Shout) is pumping. It's a strange mix between 80's synth tracks a la Valerie with a nice nu-disco rupture thrown in. It moves along at a reasonable pace, guitar flicks and an echo drum solo thrown in for kicks, a steady jam I just can't move past.

When I started updating this space again I was quick to throw in Eli Escobar's great track "Love Thing Part. 3" ft. Amanda Blank in to my "The Goods Pt. 1" post. The amazing track is just a little piece in what I've found to be one drenched ep. The early house and disco influences are flush throughout and are some of the purest sounds on the floor. Left out in the earlier post is "Love Thing Part. 1", a longer but deeper and dare I say more addicting track. I'm kind of strange and would happily play this out with my morning coffee but it's definitely the after hours dark room where this one gets off.

It's kind of hard to describe the bliss you get listening to Fishing's track "OOOO". It's this wonderfully pleasant collage of sounds and samples, giving off a great warm and collected sound whilst pasting together a whole range of different sounds. From children's chorus loops to mellow keys, the cohesive package is definitely more than..well you know how it goes. Point is, this is a great one, can't wipe the smile off my face. The duo's got a lot planned this year, stay tuned.

The Count & Sinden have always been a hell of a team. Besides The Count being Herve aka the master of Cheap Thrills and Sinden being Sinden, they have often combine to put together huge remixes and tracks like "Mega". This August they will release their hotly anticipated album Mega Mega Mega and have led off in force with the single "After Dark". It's honestly not what I expected, their usual bag entails of huge heavy tracks ripe for peak time rotation but the original here is much more akin to a summer Sao Paulo beach party. No doubt the Mystery Jets vocals lead to a more kick back vibe and I'm really glad they are on board. Its a great song and gets along great with my sunburn..
